Please Review -- Web 2.0 Directory --

I am hoping to get some feedback on my latest directory effort.
    http://www.mrktcity.com

Two areas of concern are the user interface and the bidding process.

Can users find their way around the site easily?

Is the process for feature link bidding clear?

Of course if there is anything else that needs attention ... please let me know.

It's a good start. I would change your header colors to blue to stay consistant with your color scheme. The logo design needs to be redone to something more professional as well.

I am not sure what "header" you are talking about ...

Do you mean to take out the silver at the top of the page? That would be an awful lot of unbroken blue, and very plain. :)

Yeah I agree the red shouldnt be there.

Also have to say that those position bids are not straightforward enough.

    Make it simple! :)

The text sizes, and colors vary too much for my taste.

The central elements of the directory should be the categories, but they are left to the side.

The categories should have a smaller vertical space between them, I think.

    What's that: "SEO FRIENDLY" !?

    The graphics aren't great. :(

I like the site, not too keen on the colours. Maybe lighten the turquoise coloured background?

Also not sure about the font used at the top of the page for the navigation bar, looks a bit simple. Also maybe you would want to include rollover images for the navigation bar?

I like the site though, find it easy enough navigating around it.
    Good luck with it

WOW --- that should keep me busy for a while. :)

    giorgioarmani:
I am working on a simplified explanation. There are no other examples of a Bid for Position directory in existence ... so most questions have been about the details.

    swiftmed:
I hate image button scripts and prefer text links for the menu (for the search engines), but there is no reason why the text could not change on rollover. :)

    Cratima:
To be honest I would prefer to focus on the sites that are listed ... not the directory. Search engines don't index category lists!

I now see the font changes (switching between default and Verdana), and yes categories could have a smaller space between them. Will look at cutting down font size changes.

Graphics have to wait a little longer ...

I like your idea how you're going to make in SEO friendly, that's the main point of the site right? ;) so graphics are necessary, you're going to the right direction :D

This is the first major rewrite in 3 years ... so there is still some things left over from the older site.

I am here for the long term so things will get changed or updated over time. :)

    Thanks for the feedback.

design is great :) but 1 thing:

    the Directory Home
must not be text let it be images that better for me i will do it like this the directory home and all the links underit i will make them in a new design like a square with 2 colors first the thick one will be red same as header and the second is thin let it be silver and all the links under the directory home will be images red ones same as the one that u used at the top ;)
