Content is great but that theme is a free WP theme. You should get a custom WP theme if you want to show your readers that you are serious about your blog.

I'll be looking towards getting a paid WP theme a little later. (ASAP though).

and I don't know why you wouldn't be able to view the page ject...

 

I would add a summary of sorts, so people know what they find at first glance.
It is now a bit hard to see what the site is about, when first setting foot there.

 

It could be just the way I'm seeeing it with my browser (IE7) but your calendar goes all the out the right margin.
