Now that I've "blasted" a few folks with my own critiques, I'd really like it if someone would return the favor and rip on this site...

    www.topicguru.net/?c1=webmaster

I've just redone the site, it was horrid before, and now that I'm liking it, I need to get a fresh perspective. I think it's time to start focusing on building out topics and content, but maybe I need to fix up more things first? In particular...
    • Would a nice image or graphic add to authority or credibility?
    • Are there too many ad units?
    • What other ways should I monetize this?
    • Will people come back if there is dynamic content?
Oh, I do realize the sponsors area is blank, I don't have any yet! ;)

Anyway, please don't be afraid to find fault with anything, I really need to see it from another perspective and I won't take offense.

    Thanks.

I think the header could use a little more...pizzaz? It seems a little plain. Also, the headings in the text, sometimes they line left, sometimes they are centered, it's a little disconcerting.

Regarding your question, I think that you should have nicer graphics. In my opinion you have to work at the header a little bit and at the links.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Honestly, I'm a technical person, so I'll probably have to hire someone to make something nice for me and then copy it into the code so I can generate it dynamically.

Actually, being cheap, what I'll do for right now is just keep an eye out for something that looks good... I can always do a view source and emulate it.
