    The theme is not unique, Most of the wordpress users are using this theme. Better to have a custom theme.

    I have used this theme before. But remember even from an SEO perspective Google likes to see videos, images. So make it interesting. People will then spend more time on your site.

    You've used a very common theme but you can improve it by adding a decent header graphic and change the color scheme.
