Good job, this is definitely better than then previous ones. Good play of color, the font now is easier to read.

You should try playing with 1 more color (yellow maybe), and add LITTLE details to the fonts (maybe some shadow or border?), just don't overdo it. It is very important to make an impression that you're not using MS Paint to design your cover. ;)

What graphic program are you using anyway? Care to share?

    Jack.

I don't know...I think the picture isn't bad this time...Although rather then a customized blog, I would use either the standard Blogspot or Wordpress Installs.

You want people to recognize the subject matter and the picture you are using could be any site, not neccesarily a blog

surfnearnzone, please view of mine at http://www.ecoverstudios.com/portfolio.htm

To come out with a great design you need three main aspect. That is picture, layout and color combination. :) Font not really I think. Just to add some flavor of design artwork. To got mastered with all the three aspect you need a very hard work. I've play with photoshop for 8 years to come out with design like today:D

For your information, I got pictures from istockphoto.com. very nice photo collection and cheap also. may be you can try this also ;)

The covers are too busy and I don't know where to focus my eyes on... I like books that are intriguing and simple... something that will make me want to know what's inside.

I feel exhausted as i am not able to come up with more creative ideas. I think i lack what zhafran mentioned, Experience ! However here is the, perhaps last, revision of the design.

    Thanks,

Hmm, the colors are not bad, but they sure make the cover looks cartoonish (and MSPaint-ish). Bad choices of fonts, you should not use more than 2 fonts in a cover. Needless to say, the ebook doesn't look real enough, I suggest using action scripts if you want the best result.

Nice try, though. You should be playing with more pictures.

    Regards,
    Jack.

i like old saying " less is more".

go for simple design, no fancy fonts with plain background.

you can include small photo of say adsense adverts too.

i generally think internet is pested with over saturated colours and we should avoid it.

I think you need to refine the text placings...

I think that the blue cover is the best looking.

man..you need some photo to make your design look "live"..also you need correctly playing with color combination and gradient maybe..IMHO, the design is look so dull and boring but better than previous one..practise more and you will manage to come out with perfect design..keep up ur good job

i wish i can say something good about the cover. to be honest, I was more attracted to the google image in the middle of the cover.

    You should perfect your skills in flat images first before going 3D. And boy, going 3D is no easy task, you need a specific action scripts. You can take a look at my new portfolio;

    http://www.neocovers.net/portfolio.htm

I can't do much without action scripts actually. :|
