I am thinking about making the switch to magento. I have set up my site on magento and the site link is in my sig. Could you guys view those two sites and give me some feedback with regard to speed on the magento?
Nice site but bloody slow, took over 10 seconds to download the homepage. Based in the UK with a 20 meg cable broadband connection.
cool template used and goes perfect with the theme of the website, and only one service is available, make it an addition with paypal some other service too , it will create flexibility for users to purchase and review the products.
too much time to load, and the flash file on the header is too slow, it crashed my browser, check it make it at normal range FPS to that everyone can view it, nice products and good colors
I guess I should post an update.... When I posted originally I had two links in my sig, one to that site in magento, and that same site in zen. Since then it is now magento strictly. I'm waiting until I am fully done with developing it until I go into speed mods. I did however convert the home page slider from flash, to a js slider using interaking slide for magento. Helped out its load time a bit. Also browser makes a huge difference. mozilla and chrome run it good, but it's quite the pisser in ie. warrichpk; There's paypal, and then a white label cc processing.
excellent theme, if possible change the pictues and make some more interesting one so that it might make the user aroused and tatoos are not a good idea for couples, a general sense theme is beneficial for all the generes available in the market, even bi's, guess you can understand.
i think you must , removed the chat box . in corner ... and you have a heavy page to load dude .. i magine that all your members / visitor chat . it can worse ...
It takes me 5 sec to open it. Which Magento Hosting are your using? I highly recommend that you should use hosting that just for magento. And your also can install some model to speed it up.
Agreed slow site but it looks good. Magento is pretty resource intensive but a solid script. You might need a better server or look into cahching options. Magento was recently bought by Ebay so I'm interested to see what they do.
