Hi there, just wondering if people out there can offer some suggestions to the placement on the Google adverts on our site.

The site it'self is almost 3 years old, and earnings are still very low from Google.

Any tips that could help would be great.

    My advise would be:

    not to use 234x60 ads
use 336x300 ads or 300x300 on homepage, slap in front of your face.

If you could make the first picture of your featured a google adsense 250x250 blended, i think that is how you make money with your site.
secondly on a page like, http://www.photosales.co.nz/details.php?gid=107&pid=36022, put a 250,250 adsense ad slot to the right of the image, on top of Purchase this image as

Thanks for that - I have changed the image part round, so our paid members do not get the adverts, but the unpaid ones do next to their photos. I have also just put a link unit under the photo as well - should show up shortly.

if u eliminate the 460x60 banner, eliminate the left column banner. u will get more cost per click for the ads to the right of the image!

western world reads and views webpages/books from left to right. your first adsense slot on the left column, is the #1 position, highest cost per click, your 468x60 banner is #2 and your main ad slot where it is best placed for adsense is #3rd slot. That means your #3rd slot is only getting the 5th highest cost per click compared to the left column which is given 1st and 2nd advertisers slot , the highest paid.
