Please Review this Social Networking Website: https://evsum.com

    Description:

The new user friendly website offers a simplified experience. Evsum makes it easy to set who may view status updates, even makes it possible to send private messages that expire after a time.
The Evsum system never sends e-mails to personal email addresses. It is a social network where users may comment and post new discussion topics anonymously. Visitors may sign up without using their real name, and it is possible to integrate Pinterest and Flattr into an Evsum profile.
There is a handy beginner's guide with a complete description of the features at http://evsum.info/beginnersguide.php. The system welcomes hashes (maximum 30 per feed update) and offers everything else other social networks do such as, adding friends, subscribes, comment status updates, photo uploads and the ability to create a detailed profile page.

I know you've mentioned in your post that you want to make a simplified experience for users. For me it was a bit too simplified. For instance, the home page lacks the usual appeal you expect form a social networking site. For instance, you can place a nice image there (people sitting, chatting, hanging out together, etc.). The borders of the boxes on your homepage should have rounded corners. It will soften the overall design. Also, when I scroll down to the bottom: https://evsum.com/popular their's no margin between the end of the page and the screen. It has to be there.

But I really like the concept. I hope it catch on!

Thank you very much, very useful review, I will fix the margin issue soon :)
By the way some informations about the use: we have so some hundreds of users (without advertisement not bad), ~70% of the visitors are returning within a week according to Google Analytics.
The web and image server is paid out for months, so we wont close it within a week or something :D
And this is the most shared page yet, if you are interested: https://evsum.com/p/13379

Never a good idea to have a registration form as the fist page that the visitor looks at.

You must show some thing from the forum and then if the user clicks on some part of it, then ask him to complete a registration form.

As an average a visitor has only 3 seconds to either go deeper in to a site or click away!

Therefore you must provide some thing really interesting for the visitor in order for him/her to go deeper in to your site.

I think the size of your site logo is very small and there is lot of free white space in home page. you should do some work on the design.

registration form its just too plain and not so attractive....try using some background on that and make the form smoother perhaps will be great if u try to make it transparent a bit

Hi, I took my time and went over to your site.
I must say that at first look it looks messy and I didn't quite understand what's the purpose of this site?

You have some pointers on the right side box with the green background..
The title says Evsum and than bla bla bla...

Like WTF is Evsum.. maybe make it more descriptive, put a few more words in the title.

Next you have 12 pointers saying why Evsum is cool, dude no one will read those 12 pointers.. keep it simple and clear have 3 pointers tops 4 in large text explaining what Evsum is and why should I signup for it, than put "click here for more" if you got the attention of a user with those first pointers he will click to learn more.

I think you should put the "Popular Users" under the signup box.. it can be used as a "testimonials" feature and will make your users happy knowing they are famous on the front page.

I don't see anything else right now.

    Good luck with your site.

I have to agree the home page, at least, is too simple. It needs a lot more content. The registration form looks out of place and should not take up half the screen.
