Hello Everyone, I have created a Government Jobs / Results and Exam info website - http://www.Jobo.in/ I'm looking for reviews/advice/feedback please. Thank You, Kumar
I like it, I'm in the "job site" business as well. However your landing page / index is too clustered. Majority of people looking for jobs online aren't the most tech savvy so you cant overwhelm them with a bunch of content and information. Take a look at my search engines for an example - http://cityofcalgaryjobs.com or http://workinfortmcmurray.com
Broken attempt at responsive design, garbage fixed metric (px) font measurements, several sections of illegible colour contrasts, distracting and useless marquee BS, and non-graceful degrading scripttardery aren't exactly an auspicious start... Painfully agonizing to watch load -- thanks to the ridiculous 2.8 megabytes in 43 separate files on a page that from what it's doing probably shouldn't be more than 128k in a dozen files... MOST of that being the ape-shit insane 1.23 megabytes of scripttardery in 23 files FOR WHAT?!? The equally ridiculous 822k of CSS in 9 separate files pretty much screams that whoever built that site template doesn't know enough about HTML or CSS to be building websites! You get under the hood and it's sending screen media CSS to "all" (aherpaderp), static CSS and Scripting in the markup, and all the hallmarks of letting turdpress crap out code any-old way with the endless pointless idiotic "classes for nothing", endless pointless DIV for nothing, About the only GOOD thing I can say about it is at least the heading orders ALMOST make sense. But as with most crappy turdpress templates, if you don't know what's wrong with this: <div class="category-title"> </div> <div class="vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid" > <div class="vc_main_col wpb_column vc_column_container "> <div class="wpb_wrapper"> <!--News box one--> <div class="news-box base-box nb-style1"> <header class="nb-header" > <h2 class="nb-title" style=";"><a href="">Latest Jobs</a></h2> </header> <!--nb header--> <div class="nb-content"> <div class="recent-news"> <article class="post-4649 post type-post status-publish format-standard category-central-jobs category-clerical-jobs-2 category-railway-jobs category-sarkari-job category-sarkari-nakuri category-teaching-jobs category-uttar-pradesh tag-b-ed-jobs tag-bachelors-jobs tag-indian-railway-jobs tag-indian-railway-sarkari-jobs-2015 tag-north-central-railway-jobs-2015 tag-north-central-railway-pgttgt-jobs tag-north-railway-jobs-2015 tag-pgt-jobs tag-railway-jobs tag-railway-jobs-2015 tag-tgt-jobs" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Article"> <div class="rn-title"> Code (markup): You probably have ZERO business building websites in the first place! Such idiotic bloated gibberish nonsense being why it's wasting 80k to deliver 6.2k of plaintext and ZERO actual content images (not counting the social media plugin) -- in other words easily five or six times as much markup as should have been needed to deliver such a ridiculously simple page. The causes of these problems are clear -- slapping together off the shelf code any-old-way, relying on goofy bloated idiotic mouth-breathing dumbass rubbish like jQuery, and a general ignorance of how to use HTML and CSS properly mated to a nasty case of "accessibility, what's that?" It's a laundry list of how not to build a website, and I'd suggest pitching that entire disaster and starting over from scratch!
