yes, it's a cool and original theme but in my opinion there are a few flaws, like that girl doesn't fit in the theme. Together with the shark ruin the look of the theme, it's a little silly. Why make a such original pirates theme and throw a girl that has nothing to do with pirates above the menu ?
Its an option you could use in the scene. The girl and the shark can be easily taken off. Actually we could place anything you like there. The scene is done with layers and you can take off any element from the header using CSS... The "Pirate Theme" graphic title can be changed to your own site name or anything you like. So the theme would very nicely suite for any gaming blog or travel site, or you could simply come up with some unique niche of your choice.

I really like how you accomplished the box edges blending in the with the wood background. I have seen too mnay sites trying to use transparent pngs that dont blend in in old browsers.
