We're trying to get 50,000 people to sign up as bone marrow donors and we're having trouble driving traffic.

Can anyone comment on the layout to maybe see if it's a layout issue? Thanks

We thought about getting more profiles or maybe building in a feature where people can upload their own videos about their own kids.

But we werent sure if that would take away from the goal which is to get signups, so finding the proper call to action is what is important

    The site looks great.

Regarding driving traffic, this is the kind of site that would benefit HUGELY from viral advertising across a social networking site like Facebook (or paid advertisement for that matter). If you have money to throw behind it, it might be worth paying to get some ads on Facebook. If not, create a group on Facebook and invite all your friends. Get another couple of people you can rely on to invite their friends, etc etc.. Then hopefully word should spread and you'll get people signing up.

We're hoping to use MySpace and to notify other families that are looking for bone marrow matches to hopefully help us spread the word virally on MySpace, we're not sure if it will work but we are looking at some tools to help with reaching a high number of people in a targeted niche (in this case, families looking for bone marrow matches)

Definitely do this on Facebook. It's as simple as creating a group that has some info about it, with a link to your site. It'll be worth the 5mins of your time, even if only 5 people sign up from it.

The site looks very professional, you can also drive some traffic to the site by submitting
    a press release.

We submitted multiple press releases through our PR team. I think that something like this will do better with guerilla marketing, viral marketing, and such. So if it's not a design issue, then what else do you think could help improve it?
