Hi, www.brainjava.com is a one year old site. but, it is not earning much in adsense (I get 5-8$ per month). It has some good contents and one year old. 300 visitors per day. Could you please suggest the ad placements and tweaks i should do? Also, a newbie questions. The ad which is placed at footer will yield less than if i place the same ad it in header? Thank you.
Hey. I don't know the quality of your visitors, but if it's anywhere close to decent, you should be able to earn alot more than that. Try adding more ads into the content, INTO the articles. In the menus, place an add or two inbetween the articles, news and blogs. And try placing a ad unit in the bottom of every article, blog and news. And make some use of link units. They can really bring in some income. Maybe try placing one just below your menu line? Experiment
Blending ads into the articles is one of the best techniques out there, my click through rates have been good with that for the most part
i think there is nothink to improve about your ads placement . you need more visitors. you must focus on daily hits
I can place it. Do you think it will disturb the audience while reading? will the audience hate adsense in between contents?
Maybe alittle, but not so bad if you place it right. Don't place horizonetal banners, place adboxes they can read around. Maybe like this dude does.
Give it a go. Add some ads between articles. Monitor your adsense income and visitor stat's for a couple of weeks and judge the impact. I also find that an ad to the top left works well, also ad's at the bottom of the page give visitors somewhere to go when they get there. It's tricky with a tech site, especially a 'proper' techie one such as your as the adsense ads tend to be quite dull.
Yea, I think if you were to ad some content blocks within your text....and also bring the ads along the side of the page slightly higher...then people will see the blocks, and be more invited to click on them.
Try to do something to lessen the width of the left column - your featred discussion box pushed out too far and distorts the 'whitespace' in the rest of the column.
i noticed you always put "related links" right on top of the ads... "Publishers may not label the ads with text other than "sponsored links" or "advertisements." This includes any text directly above our ads that could be confused with, or attempt to be associated with Google ads." Maybe change them to "Sponsored Links" instead.
Ahh good catch, and google DO recgonise this, because I was warned when I put a header as "other great sites".
