Very nice site and very instructive. Only issue is that there is a LOT of text on the homepage and I think its possible that some people might be overwhelmed at first brush.

Very nice. All I'd do, is include HTTP links at the bottom to the different translated versions. That way, the translated articles get indexed by google easier. Since it's a select box, google won't pick up the links until someone directly links to it.
