Please review my Xbox 360 Gaming site

    Hi,
A few months ago, I launched a Dutch Xbox 360 site. Now, it has been totally redesigned, and I've placed adsense ads on it. Can you please take a look and give me some tips on how the ads could be placed better?
You can find it at http://www.360nieuws.nl

I now make like 1$ a day, with around 500 unique visitors. Is this good, and are there things I can change to improve it?

    Thanks!

Yep, had the same thought. Nice site, really weird you're only making $1.

Even though I'm definitely no expert I'd say use a skyscraper for a while and see how it goes.

Thanks for the replies. I'll try changing the add in the articles to a scyscraper and see what it does.

I wouldn't change the medium rectangle ad. Keep it like that, I like it. A good way to blend your ads is to save one of your 4 game listings in the center for your Adsense ad. Put a random game image and a small Adsense ad next to it, so it looks like another game choice. Should get you high CTR that way.

move that adlink from bottom to top of page (just below/above your top menu) - you will get good CTR

thanks, I've moved the adlink to above the main menu now. See how it does for a week or two, then changing it to below the menu and see if it makes any difference.

$1 a day $2 is normal... it really sucks for gaming sites :(

just another question, I now have an ad between my news headlines with an image in front. Is this a violation of the TOS, or is this fine to do? I have a border around the image, although you cant really see it that good. Can someone help me out with this, dont want to get banned :p

Well as long as it's going up and not down, right? :) If you're sure you've optimized your ad placement, it's now time to go to the SEO forum and work on getting better positions in the SERPs. Traffic, traffic, traffic is the key to making good money on Adsense for sites with low-paying keywords.
