Would like some reviews of the site im putting together using wordpress. My web skills are definately on the limited side and im just starting to make some attempts at making my own sites. This site i am doing i had the idea of making unique content pages for each Monster and Myth i add giving the basic background info and storyline , and using the main wordpress page for updated news and articles on the varying subjects. Ive only been working on it for a couple days now and have about half of the unique pages done and just started to add in some main page articles etc. So any honest reviews of my work so far would be appreciated. http://www.monstersandmyths.com
I think it looks good. Maybe put a tiny bit of space between the bottom of your Google ads and the left/right sidebar.. and perhaps bring the post border to be lined up with the left/right sidebar
Looks pretty good, you may want to increase the font size or change the color a bit, it is a bit difficult to read
I think it looks pretty good, I do have 3 tips though. Your header image is WAY to huge, that will disturb people with a small resolution. Your font is way to big, it looks like size 18. Old people reading? And your sidebar is completely crowed. Minimalistic is usually best.
I think if you made your Menu's a light gray, like one of the same shades from your moon picture, it would give the Menus more of a focus point. You want 2/3 colors to contrast each other in a layout like this I would think. Right now it all flows into one dark color so to speak below the moon image. I may even shrink that image down a little bit if you're able to do it without breaking the layout. I think doing this will increase return traffic and will be easier on the eyes of older people, or people with corrective vision.
The theme looks professional, and e header is nice, but I think it's occupying too much of the page. I think you should change the color of the font in the body of the page to white to make it more legible.
