Your layout is nice, the best layout of all that I reviewed so far today. You should change the fixed background property to scroll.
The layout's ok : i would use a lighter red and black, content's a lot thats good - wish u luck with this nice blog

Layout and color combination look fine to me. Well even your blog posts are nicely written. Maybe what you can do is reduce the size of the images since it occupies almost 80% of the view on my laptop screen. That way, I have to scroll more often. It's just a suggestion.
