Please review my website

I have a website at www.TheLoveQuilt.com.

I have recently implemeted some new changes to the site and I am currently modifying my "commenting system" because it needs a little work. I am also in the process of adding a "rating system", where people can rate boxes on a scale of 1-5 hearts (instead of stars). I have not done very much marketing AT ALL because of all the things I am trying to accomplish at the moment. I do not know programming very well at all, so it takes me awhile.

This is my first website, so don't bash me too hard, although all criticism is greatly appreciated. =)

You should try change your layout to more of grid 3 or 4 across instead and make the boxes a unified size. Also as you scroll down the red background is hard on the eyes. Brush up on your .css to make the site more uniform.

 

Hard on the eyes in terms of brightness, or what?

Can someone please look at my site using something other than Safari and let me know if anything looks weird, please? I have had people come to me and say that I had browser issues on my site, and I spent that past 2 days trying to fix them, but the person that came to me initially has not responded to my emails the past 24 hours. I need this fixed as soon as possible, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

backgroud is pure red in footer try to make that similar sitewide

 

Yea, I have tried getting a better logo, but that was the best I could find to be honest. And as far as the background, I wanted to make it site-wide, but it makes my page load sooooo slow, so i had it shortened.

great idea nice work... however more advance formatting option for the text would be more interesting, referrer should be removed, instead of typing it is better to use automatic referring system (eg. php or link based).

 

Yea, I don't know how to implement an automatic referring system. I added that referrer section on there because I had a contest on the site where referrals got points, so I used that. In terms of formatting options for text, what do you think I should add? I have been thinking about stuff to integrate into the boxes for my visitors, but I don't know what to do.
