Hey all, i'm just starting up with googleads and need someone to review my website for me please!

Basically i just want you to look through my pages and content and make sure i am not breaking any google TOS and so forth - It's a small website right now and i'm only just starting to get in some traffic ~50-1000 visitors per day

Let me know what you think and where i can improve!

Hey - I have ad links on the left hand pane - Is that what you meant?? Do banners work the best for headlines, or are text ads better? Need some more advice on Ad placements and such.

Am i allowed to use two links on my page? for eg: i have googlead links on my left hand side menu, and i would also like to add a thin ad link strip on top part of my page....

Don't know if that would be breaking policy...

That is a good guide but the link is not friendly... It's too long and unorganized... not seo friendly

Your link does not even contain any part of your title...

To be more user friendly, you link should look like..

Cheers - I thought you were referring to the guide itself being too long and unorganised.

How about the ad placements? - Do they all seem to be ok

I think it's better if you can put leader head in text at the top instead of 468x60.. just my 2 cents..

Put ads after the Main Menu or above the FAQ.

Nice site. But what's up with the header? Is it supposed to be just white? Strange having so much white space in such a prominent position.

The image ad below the header is located just right, blends quite well too. But the left sidebar seems relatively empty. You could put up a few ads on the left side.

    Thanks for all the advise,

I have remove the FAQ Module and placed it within the main module - and create a strip for the Adsense TXTads for the left hand side...How does that look now?

One thing i am still not really happy wth is the size of the ads, the fonts still look very small even though i set it to large!

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

My Header with the Logo is actually one large wide IMAGE, i cannot place any ads on it, though i do plan to full it up shortly - is that what you were referring to?

    Any other helpful advise

Basically when Google refers to a "Page" do they mean a Content Article, or everything on screen?

Overall, I like your website. But I would put more Ads if I were you.

Try to squeeze in ads between posts too.

This is Joomla! so you need to enter the Settings (in admin panel) and turn on SEO (Apache mod_rewrite and SEO Friendly... Prefix is not neccesary) and then go to FTP in root folder (where this site is located) and find htacess.txt... Then rename it into .htacess

Then your links will be SEO friendly...

Awesome information - Had a little bit of trouble doing this, as i had an htaccess, and a .htaccess file already on the the root - the latter file was much smaller, i copied both onto my PC, and deleted the .htaccess and renamed the .txt file accordingly - Enabled all the settings and everything it working fine!

I just updated some of my hyperlinks aswell in the Tutorials section...

Let me know what you guys think now - is this much more SEO friendly?

    Cheers

Here's my new link for the Guide i created (the above link will also still work)

    http://mod360s.com/how-to-backup-xbox-360-games.html

Advice: How can i make it so that my articles are featured in Google Search (say for example when i search for "How to backup xbox 360 games" - Is there anything in Joomla that i need to do (metadata information and keywords???)

Also ive signed up for webmaster, will their bots automatically pickup the SEO friendly links?

Great! Your links are now much better.

Yes, on Joomla, when you subbmit new article, you have Meta Description and Meta Tags. You can write it for every article, and in Settings you have global Meta description and tags (for homepage).

To get well-positioned on Google, you need to do SEO... For example, try with link building (subbmit on digg.com, stumbleupon.com, reddit.com, technorati.com etc.). These are social bookmarking sites and they can help you in google positioning and bring you trafiic.
