Please review my website/blog

Hi friends,
Here's my new blog/website please share some feedback on how I can build it further and to be able to monetize. Any feedback is highly appreciated.

I am new to blogging but willing to work on this area sharing my knowledge and experience so far. Managed to set up a domain metaflutter.com and decided to finally structure it in different categories.

Request you to kindly review my blog wherein I can improvise on it and make it stand a value while contributing to the readers and honestly I being able to monetize the content to an extent.

What I have done so far:
1. Installed the default setup with a theme downloaded online
2. Divided the categories of the blog/content
3. Configured Google Analytics
4. Configured ad-sence (though it will take long to establish)
5. Working on improving the content and adding more
6. Linked my design website, portfolio where I can sell my design services, is it a good idea ?

 

over all your website is good,design okay blog page was also too good and color are good for eye.

if you have good traffic you should start guest posting(back links) on your site

and best way is show adds.

one thing i really appreciate is that design it is really good and i am very satisfy your blog(post) it was really.

one is not good is that your header menu i think it should be with your logo.

 

Hey dear, thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate you taking time for the same. Started up with a basic free theme and kept the colors light to begin with. I am currently learning and working on building more traffic via social media (pintrest, fb, etc) , nice if you could share some references on how to start with back links (I must read more on these on google by then). Google Adsence is on its way, but needs more traffic and more blog content which I am working on . About the header I tried to fix it via the template but thats the max I could do, wish I could change that in the code but not a coder , will try. I liked the site structure though which was pretty lean. Will continue to work on it

 

I also have this type of header issue can you tell me which theme you are using,i might have a solution for you.

and if you want back links (guest posting) you need traffic on your site (articles) when people read articles on your site at end you provide a link (these are back links) they click on that or you write

articles for other blogs in your site.


and there are many industry and peoples who's want back link on other site to get traffic on their site or you do that make highly quality articles that others will want to link to.

 

Here's the theme I use , the search box seems to be an issue to just shows a blank page when clicked. Thanks I understand then, will create more articles then approach for back linking

 

You could use a free WP theme.
Most of you can't correctly setup the theme, that's why even being a Premium WP theme, many sites have poor and clunky design.
There are a lot of decent free WP themes: Hueman, Customfy, NewsCard, etc.
Why pay for something you even can't correctly use?

At least, make the site width from 1200 to 1400 px.
Read the theme tutorial and set it up correctly.

 

Hey, thanks. I have updated the theme and added more content. Nice if you could review. I do agree on the design elements in these themes, they are kind of off. I am only a designer , cant code else would have cleaned up a theme for myself. Hear from you.

 

The site looks great, however:

- The Facebook and Pinterest links in the footer don't work.
- The Instagram link works, however there's no content on the page. I'd either suggest creating some posts, or removing the link to Instagram.
- The About Us, Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, Advertise with Us & Contact Us links in the footer don't work.
- The page title (when on the homepage) is metaflutter.com. I'd suggest creating a more engaging title.
- I'd suggest taking some time to address the recommendations from Google PageSpeed Insights (both Desktop & Mobile). Doing so will improve the overall user experience, as well improve your SEO.

 

It looks all broken in android chrome and Gmail browser if you have made changes please delete the cache.

The theme is easy to setup

 

Its a good strategy! I think structuring it by categories and linking your portfolio was a smart choice. For monetization, AdSense is a solid option, but it can take time to kick in. You might also want to try many various platform like MGID for example. It could be a good way to start earning sooner. Keep up the great work, and best of luck!
