    yes the page is not loading first when it loads the site is too heavy.. try reducing the code..

    Overall your website looks techy and professional. I would suggest you to replace the "work with us" to join us. This sounds more attractive to click. You should also set up an squeezepage for people to join your list. You can promote about the latest events on your list. Lastly, I would also suggest you to organise some competition and of cause rewarding a cheap and attractive gift so people would feel excited to visit this website and you will have free traffic through viral marketing.

    Looks like the typical tech-site, and is good enough for a good start. Now focus on seo (cleaning up your code for search engine optimization). Also get on the marketing forums on dp and you'll find plenty of advice concerning link building and such ;)
