hi please can you have a look at my website (spongies.co.uk) and give me your views on it. i would like to know things like does it look ok? are the google ads in the right places? over all content placement ok? forum good/bad idea? any help or advise on how i can improve the site would be appreciated but remember i am new to this and have paid to have everything done so far, so be honest but gentle please
Hello spongie. I like the overall site design. The logo looks very good and funny. At first I actually thought the Google Ads are part of the site, good placement there. The menu looks good as well. Overall the site looks nice. Good job!
The site looks nice - very professional and quick loading. I'm wondering about your Google ad placement a little though because they're pretty buried in there. Are yo getting hits on the ads?
One more thing, the Google ads look fine where they are. That is where people expect to see them. That white space I was talking about really stands out badly when I look again. Can you put something there to fill it?
i like your layout and color combination. your adsense placement, why dont you place it at the top header.
Looks good - lots of bright colours and seems to be easy to navigate I like the icons along the top in the menu.
thanks all very nice to have so many good views on the looks of the site and am looking into filling the white space at the top just not sure what is meant by legitimate site
I forgot to mention this yeaterday. How does that page look when being viewed from different monitors and ie's? It looks kind of wide on my 19" monitor. Maybe pull the right side to the left a little so all browsers can see it fully
Well being that every site I reviewed today has been missing an introduction message I think I will be writing a post about it on my blog. The link to it is by my head there on the left. Anyhowz, your site is missing an introduction message. The icons in the menu need some help. I think that these icons do not represent the link: sell, login, stores, wanted ads (I can't even tell what that icon is), help and about us. You also have a UK flag representing the English language. I would avoid using this for two reasons. Though the method is common, the best method is to represent different language links using text, and text written in the language spoken. I'm from the United States, where is my flag? I wouldn't get one using your method. Also the main reason I think you should get rid of it is because you offer only one language, English. Why bother pointing that out? Finally your search box does not need the word search before the input box. It is already clearly a search box indicated by the submit button. That's it, I will stop at the header. Hope that helps
