Please review my Volusion site

Anyone that knows Volusions, knows that it is an absolute nightmare to create a decent looking website that does NOT look like a cookie cutter eCommerce site.

    www.swiftsmoke.com

Being a UX/UI engineer I spent countless hours working on this website and I wanted some feedback before we release the store online at the end of February.

    Few things to note:

The site still has multiple visual issues, but I think this is a great starting point.
Since the store is closed, I am hiding the main navigation that appears on the top right.

Also please let me know if you have any question/comments.

    Thanks,

    Joe

Joe, I agree -- you've got a great starting point, with the right idea in terms of visuals.

That top frame with the arresting visuals is a great touch. I would definitely recommend keeping those updated on a pretty regular basis, if you can manage to do that. That'll definitely help your site establish something of a cool brand & reputation.

I would switch the text and the blue button at the bottom of the photo frame. That white line of text looks really uncomfortable hanging off over the edge of that blue button, there. I'd flip the two; it'd look a lot more visually appealing.

Those social media icons look super rad. Great work, there. I also really like the copy at the bottom of the page. That's well-executed, and I'd keep with that tone and voice.

You'll ditch the "Website Coming Soon" text and move the first row of products up so that you've got some inventory above the fold before you launch, yes?

Great starting point, Joe. Can't wait to see the finished product.

(Oh, and if you want to integrate with other marketplaces, so you can list your inventory on Amazon and eBay automatically, without having to worry about managing those listings, etc. Take a look: http://solidcommerce.com/solutions/. Hope that helps.)

Really different from conventional UI of eStores. The only criticism I would like to make is that you need to scroll down to find the products.
