    just do this...

    change the border color of your header adsense to black

    The layout and design is not bad, but I think the site is missing a logo.

    A nice Vbulletin theme makes it perfect !! try to blend your ads with the theme!!
    Default Vbulletin Favicon change it.

    I would most definitely suggest a logo as someone above did. Maybe you could also have the background colour behind your Google Search and Adsense so that it does not appear like you have just "chucked" some ads in the middle of your design??

    blinking links - i am not a fan of them
    google searchbar is begging you for a transparent background
    your site needs a loggo, and a loggo that is not the same font with the site promo
    and a tip - try to avoid adsense ad's borders, I think it will help you CTR a little
    good luck!
