The Auction link was nice and fast. The Amazon pretty much timed out. However I'm sure they are issues with those sites themselves. One thing that would be nice is if the dropdown would remain on all searches. In other words, when I hit the search on the auctions, the dropdown stays, but when I go to the uBids it doesn't. The other thing with the dropdown is that it isn't long enough. The 'Auctions' word is a little cut off, at least on FireFox on Windows. Good luck!
no yaar there is nothing bad wid the site this is quite fine but if background is given in some lite color then this would become more attractive and eye catching.
It was fast for me. Why not BOLD or highlight the search term in each auction title? And take away the underlining for each title -- make it underline on hover only... for readability. Find something to do with the whitespace around the search results. Nice...
I liked the site and thought it was a good idea. I also agree with MACs thoughts with the dropdown boxes....just doesnt look professional.
It is a great idea. However you should expand the searches to include all content from auction sites. You can often specify worldwide as well as stores search in ebay for example.
Thanks for the tips. I am working on getting more search options for the website. However, it is a bit hard to add many auction websites as the search parameters are different for each.
Good idea, but I think you need to make the 2 search fields much larger/not generic and more 2.0 looking. That would really make it nice IMO.
Very google-like layout. Only thing I can think of is getting a better logo and a nice brandable one so people can remember your site for everything they need. Market yourself as the 'universal search engine'.
