Please Review my travel forums http://www.cheaptravelforums.com I launched it on Sunday so I am still trying to get members to signup and post. I am how ever appearing on the front page of google for Cheap travel forums already. I also know that I put a good deal of empty forums in but I am hoping they will fill up soon.
forums don't fill up on their own, even if you get good traffic. you need to create multiple accounts for yourself, adopt different personas, and talk to yourself... put up a few 'simulated' conversations. then people will join in. getting a forum going from zero is a lot harder than most people realize. if people see "0" for everything, they will exit right away.
thanks that is what I have been doing. I have tried at least 4 forums over the past 5 years and all of them make you want to quit because no one joins!. this time i am not giving up.
I think it's a great idea. People are always looking for cheaper and easier ways to travel. Great idea, I will be checking back often.
you need to get people to write articles to put up on your forum to get things started. once there are a few posts there, it will pick up.
