Hi all, My travel forum is now 3 months old. Its my first ever site so i dont really have naything to benchmark it against, but it isn't growing as quick as i like. Any opinions/comments/help appreciated.
It is good like the contents in the site is quite good enough but only thing is that the site is not at all attractive so according to me if yo can just add some graphics in it and even some back ground colour effects in it then it would really give a glance to your web site. The forum looks simple and clear. The header image is placed at the left most corner of the browser, make it as center. Try to add some colors on the background.
The overall feeling is Good. However, the yellow horizontal strips are very bright and a little annoying. Better, if you can use some lighter and more soothing colour instead. Visit a few good sites and you may yourself find which color to switch to make it more attractive for visitors. Hope, it will help. Wish you best of luck.
Thanks for the feedback. I did recently try and install an updated skin in which there were some softer gradient colours, but the install went wrong somewhere, so i'll try again next week
The design is a bit simple, but it is nice in a way. And yeah, Forums are really hard to get started, at least in my personal experiences. Just keep promoting it and see what happens. Good Luck.
Thanks for all the feedback guys. Obviously not everyone is going to be hapy with the colour scheme and design, I know i cant please everyone, but it seems that the layout is acceptable and that now all i need to do is continue to drive traffic. Brining traffic is the hardest, longest part...
