Blogs is really nice but you don't have to mix your adds with the articles. try putting your adds along side with articles and you might (in my pinion) will have a better Blog. Good Luck.
wow... header is good... color combination, theme everything is good, but the white color you use for category and TAGs etc, the white color is not matching, try changing it... and yeah... logo... :s u have very cleverly mixed the ads, but it gives an impression that u have made it for ads revenue and for nothing else... but u have disguised it very nicely :d well i like ur blog..
Colors are nice, but not easy to read. You may have trouble keeping people on the page to click on the ads. Might want to split test how the ads perform with white background for ads and white background for blog. You've got the ad placement right, putting them inside posts increases click thrus. Attractive graphics, would consider using the world's most powerful word ("you" or "your") in a headline overlaying or under the header graphic. The image header looks great, although I too think you need a custom logo. I also think some nice styling in your sidebar would really make the site pop. Although there are a lot of browns in this theme, I think you can make it work with a few choice graphics and styling.
Try this, with the beautiful pictures that you have , get an all white background on your website. It should be pretty damn cool having an all white background and make your text stand out. Heres another tip, create a database driven joke site and submit that shit to all the joke directories you can find out there. make sure its just joke directories that you are submitting to...which should help you with your s.e.o. Heck find some quotes by a travel person and submit that to all quote directories that you can find. All the best with your project. Cheers Nick
Its pretty Good Content wise, But Left alignment of the theme, Than No logo making it less valuable. get a nice theme and logo done, would be better.

I agree a logo will give you some branding possibilities. Love the color scheme though not sure of the readability. Might choose three different colors for your palatte.
