Hi! I'd appreciate it if my template could be reviewed. Template Preview I tried to maintain balance and contrast. Looking at it now i've uploaded the image..I can see green text in welcome area needs to be changed. There are a few things I think i could change..however I would like feedback from others first. Thanks, arcanus EDIT: link works now.
actually, i think the color combination is great, it's unique and the colors do not clash. this template won't work for an insurance company, or a law office, or a company making ball-bearings, but it would be suitable for a business selling cosmetics, or a spa, or a travel site, etc. it depends on the business. you misspelled Testimonials good job, you should make more.
monosodium, Thanks for the spell check! How i missed it?! LOL..I'm actually quite fussy with my spelling! I would have included product images but I am starting up on a zero budget. not the way i intended to start freelancing..I need to make some quick cash before I go on holidays and with no income coming in..my last lot of templates pretty much bummed out. It's hard not having seriously designed anything since high school. (my background is in offline media-painting) So it's a huge learning curve translating and re-remembering what i learnt in highschool and applying it to world of web design. very challenging indeed! thankyou monosodium for pointing out what the template could be used for! I tried to keep the design neutral so it could be adapted to different products. Like i said earlier I am having to rely on public domain images..which is why the banner at bottom isn't as good as i would have liked. and had i found some good product images i might have added a reflection to them. Not sure if that would overcrowd the design? The image background for testimonial box is layered(as is everything)..so it wouldn't be hard to adapt the design to any product.I just felt it needed a bit of colour at bottom without being too loud and detracting from from other important areas. The green text -I was trying to create balance with the green stem. Originally i had the "what we offer" in green ..I guess i'll change whats green to white. tomorrow i'll update it and upload a revised version alongside this one.. Thankyou I plan to make more
Wow, I think its beautiful. I'm more of a fan of Arial style fonts for navigation, but nonetheless, it looks really nice to me!
Very nice. Please post a link here to any sites that use the template in the future. I would like to see it in action.
thankyou I'll be selling this on DP this afternoon. (PM me within next 48hours if your interested in buying it. ) If i could fully code a site i would code it,and add animation. for example the news area i could see updating automatically and scrolling as new feeds come in,or news headlines at least rotating if more than 4 news items needed to be displayed. come to think of it the special offers box would look good animated as well. ok I have revised it..here are version 1-3. click to enlarge it to get a better idea of changes.. Sorry if the urls don't work.
Looking very nice. And i agree with others that colour combination is not good.Althoguh purple is my favourite colour but here its not looking cool..
ok here's some revisions. I've replaced the green colour mostly. Redid the menu area.. and a page two..
the revised version is also nice i'm kinda torn which one i prefer, i think i'll stick with the first one, i know some people hate the green, but for me it has more panache. but hey, in a democracy the majority rules, right... so you're doing the right thing i guess.
Thankyou everyone! Seems like some like the green others don't. I guess this template is one of those love/ hate ones. well before i made the colour changes i listed it for sale in trade forum..no one seems to want to buy it oh well..back to drawing board i guess..
