Please Review my Stock/Financial Website

Hey Sam,

We get significant traffic, around 50,000 visitors per month. Yes we do use Commission Junction and make several thousand a month through various affiliate programs but we promote most of those through email marketing, social media, article marketing, and other tactics. Do you have any advice on other ways to generate revenue or other affiliate programs?

 

I like the layout and all. The only thing I really don't care for and this was also the first thing I noticed when I loaded the page, was the top banner is blacked out on the right side. That black top right banner part makes the site loo very odd at first glance. Other than that I like the site!

 

What I told you will absolutely speed things up. I do this stuff daily.

Yes, a vps or reseller plan with also help. VPS more so really. If the site is generating that much revenue you should look at something in the level 5 area or so with hosgator for instance. You can actually tune that stuff, increase memory usage and so on.

You will also be able to further utilize some server caching like Varnish, etc.

Your site looks very professional with proper category structure, nice wordpress theme selection for a finance site, though I have a suggestion for you that you could make it look more better by replacing exiting social media icons with proper icons that matches your site layout (iconfinder can help you).

Thanks Nigel, the site does make really good money so I think it's worth investing in a good hosting service to speed up the site's loading time plus I will do what you suggested as well. Also looking at redesigning the site altogether, any advice on things we should do or do you know any good designers?

Well, i love all of it except the background. It scares. Too black, you know. Looks like something is bad UNDER the site, something that is not to be seen ok, it is just my private opinion. i understand you wanted to make the site look serious and heavy, made for serious and heavy people. but anyway, it would be better (IMHO!) to give it some color, for instance, dark-blue, instead ob black, that would be like a summer night, much softer and more natural. All the rest is good, congrats, the site is nice.
