Hey Sean, It’s impressive what you’ve come up with considering you were on a low budget. There are definitely areas where it needs improvement. Below are some suggestions to increase your conversion rate… 1. There are millions of sites on the internet that sell shoes. Why should visitors buy from you? How are you going to break through the noise, grab visitor's attention and differentiate yourself from your competitors? You are marketing your site as “American†but I have no idea what is “American†about it. You only have between 4 and 7 seconds to grab the new visitor and tell him why he should be dealing with you instead of your competitors. You do this with something called your Unique Value Proposition. Those are the reasons and they have to be front and center on your homepage above the fold. 2. Your “About Us†page should be in the top navigation to let your customers know about you and your business. A picture and a little bio that communicates your passion for being in this business and serving customers is what they are looking for. People want to do business with people, not with websites. Why hide from them? Let them know who they are dealing with. 3. It’s strange that your shoes don’t have product descriptions when I click on them. How is the customer supposed to be reassured of what they are buying? When I try to enlarge the photo, it is the same size. By now I would have clicked away from your site for sure. 4. In the shopping cart your form asks for way too many personal questions? Why do you need to know if the customer is female or male? Their birth date?! You are losing customers here. Remember, you are in a very competitive space with well established websites, reputations, pricing and customer service. What is going to make people trust you and want to buy from you? Let me know what you think. I would be happy to look at your site again later. In the meantime, I would highly recommend you create a Unique Value Proposition for your site. It is absolutely vital to converting visitors into customers on your website. http://bit.ly/9tCYXe Kindly, Shelby
