    Looking at the beginner site I would move the history of sql to another page, and I would underline those hyperlinks below.

    Beginner site: i would do something about the header, it is too simple and not very attractive.
    Also, highlight in some way the links, as they blend with the text.

    with regards to the beginner one it is very cluttered specially when you are talking about data base etc you might as well have flow charts

    the other site is good and clean
