hi just checked ur site http://www.simplysearch4it.com/ 1) first of all ur site seems to be not 100% SEO friendly. links under `Shopping Directory` are like --> Arts points to http://products.simplysearch4it.com/pdir/1/0/9999999999/random/asc/1.html where as it should be like http://products.simplysearch4it.com/arts/ use .htaccess to over come this issue. same is for Web Directory. ur article directory seems fine to me . 2) title of ur site contains `SimplySearch4it` , why domain name is added in, no use of it. and other Keywords also donot match with your site properly. 3) http://games.simplysearch4it.com/ is Proper SEO Friendly . 4) http://webdir.simplysearch4it.com/ Not SEO Friendly , and not enough Categories , add more Categories. finaly i am not sure it is a good idea to put very different contents in same site , like shoping Directory , online games , web directory, Articles. i beleave these should be indpendent identities. anyway these are my openions which obviously are not the word of GOD so dont you ever beleave me , beleave in urself, thanks Ali Kashif http://www.click.pk/ http://www.freegames4all.net/ http://www.executivedir.com/
Thanks for your replies. I did ask others about using keywords in the urls before doing the redesign and they said don't use to many keywords in all parts of your site as it will be considered as spamming so they said leave them out as I already had the urls like the way they were so I would have just had broken links or had to use 301 redirects and alot of the pages. This site has been online for 4 years. Although you say it is not very seo friendly I believe it is alright as it does rank high in the search engines. For the different types of sections like: games, articles, shopping, etc. This is a site that will be getting bigger and will have more topics soon. It will be more like Yahoo where there is different things on it. Yahoo is big and they also have shopping, games, web directory, etc. With putting these into sub categories, I belive that it makes it alot easier to advertise and also maintain the site. Anyway, Thanks for your comments. I will still like further comments on the design, looks, colors, etc.
