    I understand the orange in the header as it is a cookbook site but I think the orange in the category header is a little much. I'm also not keen on the green on green background.

    May I recommend a tan or sand color in the content area and a silk chocolate background. Something of this sort "http://www.gourmetdelightsdesserts.com/Silk%20Chocolate.JPG" and for the category header you could use the silk background with white letters. You can also separate the background and the site with a white border.

    Just an idea.

    Note:
    You may want to install the plug-in secure Wordpress or do what it does by hand as seen in .com/wp-includes/ . Also All in One SEO would help.

    Well nice color combination but the way text is displaying is not good. Make it 2more points large and not so tacky. And on right side 1 row is enough.

    I would change the font in your logo text actually. & remember you can never go wrong with LOTS & LOTS & LOTS of photos of dishes. remember people eat with their eyes.

    The theme is good. May be you can try to change the greenish color to some metallic green. I tried #697610 using firebug it looks ok, you can try some more colors.
