This site is all about tutorials, I have written a lot and a lot more submitted by other sites and update it almost daily now. This site is programmed 100% by me almost all automated now. I don't like the green background of "Featured".
Try to do some more interesting menu design.

Would you please be more specific? What is needed to change in design to make it look more professional? What could be changed in the layout?

What do you think the background color of "Featured" of featured should be?
About the menu, I was thinking to make a sub-categories menu when visitors move their mouses over categories, do you think it would be a good idea?

I like everything except the font used in your banner, I don't think it works with the rest of the site. Perhaps something more sharp and crisp as opposed to that somewhat gothic looking font...Other than that looks sweet to me!
