Tell me what you think of this site:

    http://www.pdqwholesale.com

I am trying to optimize it for SEO and conversions but I look at it every day and need some outside advice from the pros.

Let me know what you really think any advice could help a bunch.

    Thanks,

First of all: What have you done so far? Submitted your site to social bookmarking sites, etc

Design wise.. did you use <h1> tags?

Your design is very good, but need to work on the text, specially images to make it look nicer. You are close though.
SEO wise, you are highlighting so many products, you can show 3 and add some description of your site, e.g. what kind of products etc. Good idea will be filling it with well-written sentences containing keywords you wanna concentrate.
    Page title is well done.
meta descriptions and keywords for inner pages need more attention. Your inner page ranking is very important to go up, to get shown on search results.
I would make the right side small banners some smaller.

I am impressed with the over all design of your website.Very impressive. To read the right coner side of your website, one has to scroll. But I dont mind since your right hand side contains only advertisements. Its okay.

I would like to thank everyone tht has posted comments here. I am real glad that everyone likes the design. I am not a designer and came up with most of it by myself. It seems like the overall theme from the replies is consistent with my own thoughts.

I am starting to rank well for my selected keywords on all search engines but the problem is that I seem to have selected slow moving keywords to focus on. I guess I thought I should start on easy ones and then move to the more trafficed and competitive keywords. I would like to rethink that strategy now.

I am adding new products and focusing a link campaign on certain pages of the site that will be dedicated to more competitive keywords.

I am still trying to get more involved in social networking. I think it is the wave of the future and growing very fast at this time.

Any additional comments or ideas are still highly appreciated.

I was majorly impressed when I saw your site. It looks like something one of the big boys would come up with. Use the suggestions listed above from the other regulars, I honestly can't see anything you need to do different except promote. What are you doing to promote it now?

I have tried several things like shopping comparison sites but they mainly work off of a ppc program. I also have used adwords and yahoo marketing all with little success.

I am an authorized dealer direct from the manufacturer on all items and my pricing meets the min. requirments set by the manufacturers. I think my problem is my keyword focus is on the wrong words. I rank pretty good across all SEs for the words in my title tag but I think I need to focus on more specific search terms like tiffany lamps and tiffany lighting.

I really need to do more link builiding with specific anchor text. Any ideas on how best to do this are appreciated.

Why you dont use a 1 pixel black border on all images?

To be quite honest with you I've never seen a website that has a standard OSCommerce feel to it yet still stood out as a very professional website.

Somehow you have managed to do it however and props to you for this accomplishment.

As far as running a commerce based website, why do you advertise other companies on your site? I understand you want to improve your PR, but adding a top100.biz link and a link exchange to your website is very disturbing. I personally would get rid of it. There are other ways to increase your website without lowering your professional appearance.

    Still.....props on the site!
