I was wondering if anyone could take a look at my site http://www.dreamlinesavings.com and tell me what you think? Let me start off by saying that my target audience is probably no one who will be reading this post on the forum. The target audience is people who do not spend a lot of time "surfing the web", either because they don't have the time to, or just don't have the interest. These are the people who I am trying to get to sign up for the newsletter, and I really think that I would be able to save them a lot of money. My problem is, so far I haven't been getting that much traffic - and the people who have gone to the site from AdWords haven't signed up. I guess I'm trying to figure out if it's the AdWords that I set up that aren't working well, or if it's something with the site. Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Jessica
People can search for good deals, there are lots of sites giving out free coupons and free deals, etc. You have to have a real compelling offer to your visitors to pay for what they can get free. Give visitors like a month or two months free. Or like a lot of paid newsletters do, have a free version with less in it, and a paid version with everything in it. From what I have seen of your past two newsletters, there was nothing earth shaking in them to make people fork over money just to receive more of the same.
iowadawg, Thanks for the suggestions. I guess you don't think a week trial is long enough? And as I was saying before - I do realize that there are a lot of sites out there where you can find deals. But there are also many people out there who would love to find these deals but can't be bothered with going to these sites every day. Even if you go to these sites every day, there are still great deals that may get overlooked here and there. My newsletter is set up to provide a clear list of the best current deals. I make it a point to only put ones worth posting. I am not cluttering it with ads to blockbuster or netflix. These are good deals that aren't going to expire in 10 minutes. I email things that are deals your average person who just reads the newspaper circulars won't find. I want the people that want a "best of" quick fix and use the internet a few minutes a day, not a few hours. Also, each newsletter will come up with ways to help them save money. So it's more then just deals, but it's also about helping people save more and spend less - all just by reading their email. As for the site - do you think it is designed in a way that helps people easily tell what they will be getting when they subscribe? Thanks, Jessica
Hi 1) change your font style, they are not atractive. 2) Put one link "Join now for..." at above of "If you are looking.." too. 3) "Sample Newsletter" and "Why Should You Join?" should have some information or take them out. People should not be feeling that this is new site. 4) need robot and smart metatags and robots.txt 5) need to build more link popularity. 6) If you are offing newslatter for groceriess, Electronics and other so have some images of them. 7) add "alt tag" on images 8) In privacy policy take out I and put we, me and put we, have some professional writing. NOTE: submit your site and advertise with our directories to get more traffic. Good Luck
Hi I observed: 1. Logo is good. 2. You can change the color combination in your background and body of the website. 3. Excessive words, i think it can distracts audience. 4. Use some Font Styles, it looks very simple. 5. Add link for your visitor to join. 6. You can also use Social Media like Facebook, Twitter, and etc to gain traffic. 7. Join Forums. 8. Be professional in Introducing your site. Hope this helps. Goodluck!
