It is a sports betting related site and forum.

I am #5 in MSN for "sports betting forum", in Dmoz and Google Directory but no where to be found in the google serps.

I think I have enough links pointing to my site to be listed somehwere in Google.

Please, if you can help me figure out why, it would be much appreciated.

Damn that your babe of the day is closed to non-members. :)

If you open it up you could get some serious image search traffic. Make sure you have plenty of bandwidth available if you do. :)

Most of the pictures are hosted on image avenue, a free image hosting company. I don't host them on my server. It would be too much load on it :)

I just recently closed it down because there is really no conent in there, just alot of pictures mostly, and also to leave the the kids out from just wondering to my site. lol. All of the pictures in that forum are all tasteful pictures. No garbage.

I liked very much, but for first time visitors (as me) I think it has too many banners and colors and links.

I went to other sports betting and poker related forums and if they had a promo area, I posted in there in the beginning to let a few people know about it. The rest is just hard work along the way. My forum has been online for about a year. Now that I have a base, I am trying to get good Keyword placement in the SE's to bring in traffic, but no luck so far and it is very difficult in my feild.

Starting any forum is very tough, especially if you focus on a theme that isn't totally unique.

Part of getting people to register is having an already active forum that people who visit are interested in. If the forum isn't active then people will simply just leave.

I posted like a mad man when I first started the forum and caught people's attention who visited. I ran free fun contests and some other things.

Saying all of that, I am still nowhere where I want to be. It takes time and patience is definitely a virtue when starting a forum. So many people just give up after the 1st month. If you understand that it takes time, Lots of learning, hard work and patience, you can succeed in anything you want to do in life :)

I really like it. Being a sports fan myself I can really see it's true potential. Good luck with it!

    Those are some hot chicks.

I suppose I'll answer the ranking question. It takes much longer to get ranked on Google than MSN in for some keywords. MSN is really easy to get ranked on. You just have to have alot of links to your site that say what that it is about that keyword.

The Google ranking system is alot harder to get your site to the top becuase there are so many variables considered in the Google algorithm. MSN also Updates really often.
