thanks. what did you mean by just one post though? I have a decent amount of pages if you can scroll over the nav bar on the top
It look too simple for me. Changing the template and adding few more articles will definitely improve the quality of the site.
- I agree with ipostmedia, also, you should fix your alignment. It feels very odd how its left aligned but there is a huge gap. Either make the gap smaller, so its clear that its left aligned, or simply center it altogether. - Maybe consider adding more content into your header, and/or creating a logo (or at least using some nice typeface). - I'd recommend redoing your menu. There are too many options at the moment and it seems confusing. There should be a separation between all the content related pages and the other pages, such as Forums, Submit question, blog. Consider re-designing the menu as well, the all caps menu isn't very appealing and makes it difficult to read. Frankly you might even be able to put some of the stuff in the black top right of your header, or even create a call-to-action button for your "submit a question" if that's something you want to promote. - I'd also highly recommend getting a proper .com domain.
Thanks a lot for the suggestions! They are really great. I will definitely do some of things recommended. @GWiz, I like the idea for seperating the content pages vs. the media pages. Where would you suggest I place the media pages though? And for getting a .com domain- I definitely plan on doing that, I just figured I'd tried to get some feedback and see if my website had enough potential to be viable as a .com domain. Thanks a lot for your spending your time for helping me out?
I would suggest some kind of visible separation between your menu items. Maybe a vertical divider between the page types, or use different colors, or have a big gap between them. It's all about playing around with the design/layout. But the separation should be visible instantly.
just had a quick look, - may be spice up the design little bit, as Gwiz mentioned, like CTA etc. - a lot of spaces - last item on the navigation fall off the edge of navigation container (FF 3.6)
thanks for the comments guys! i have been trying to find a good background for the site, but i don't want it too flashy. does anyone have any suggestions? what types of colors should i use?
