Where to start. The text is way too big, the layout is outdated, the colors are hard on the eyes, the header is far too bland.
The header needs improment. You should use consistant colors across the whole header (part of the left side is diffferent from the rest of the header). Also, I would remove the patterns you have in the background of the header (next to real images). Those doesn't fit well together with the topic of the site. Finally, if you added a real logo instead of plain text, I think it would give the entire site a nice lift. GL!
The header DOES need improvement, I think you need a logo. I don't like the advertise page. I would suggest putting them on the sides. good luck!
