Please review my SEO experiment case Study site

Hey Guys , I started the following site http://www.websitecheck.org as an SEO experiment and will appreciate any feedback to improve the user experience , well the layout will probably stay as simple as that,but what do you think about the color combination , should I put a logo there , should I leave it as simple as it is , what do you think of that social Network bar at the footer, is it a good Idea or should I get rid of it? what would you change on the site? any single suggestion is welcome , no matter what.

Your adds do not show up properly. Personally if I saw the website I would just type the website I want to know is up into it and go to the website.

What I would recommend is offering a service so they receive email/text message if their website goes down.

There is no logo at there, i think you have to add about page

@flyon @mupet , yeah , you are right about the logo, will add one as well as an about page.
@inspiredgfx , that's a good idea, I may offer that in the future, but for now it's just to see if your isp is not screwing it, so a site may appears to be down, but not actually be down, aka: censorship , firewall , great wall.....etc. Thanks for the great feedback so far.
