Please Review My Search Engine

Hi DPs!

I've launched my little search engine that uses Google CSE to search for specific categories.

I would appreciate if anyone can take sometime to review it for me.

If you have a good site, do submit them to me so that I can add it in for searching!

I like the idea. As I see, you use google custom search. I suggest to do a unique logo.

 

I like it and all was well when I tested it using the words in my sig, numbers, numbers that work, etc but the 1-dash and 1-dash domains bonked it. Tried in IE and FF - bonked in both.

OT: We have an article on analyzing search words that would be usefull for mobile surfers and may want to develop some sites for them. Keep in touch menda and we'll monitor your site to see how you do with it.

Well your site is nice , i like the ajax and the simplicity .
As far as the logo goes , well its like google which is not a good thing . Try another effect.

looks good....I like the concept even if it does look a lot like google.

I agree. Redesign the logo. Start fresh and don't do anything similar to G**gle. Create your OWN brand and image. Not a parody.

I'll try to come up with a better logo this weekend.

Just to point out, i'm not trying to reinvent Google or "trick" people to think it is my own search engine.. the point of this whole site is to leverage what's Google is offering, that's the reason why I put in Powered By Google below and etc...

You might start thinking, what's the difference between Google then, I guess you have to read the About Us page to find out the site objective.

Looks like a bad Google design. I think there is not sense to build a search engine because competitor is very strong.

 

I agree with everyone else looks like goooooooooooooooogle. change it make it your own. I would like to have one on my website where can I get it?

I'll slowly expand the search category too, so more options. =)

So far, the response has been pretty positive!!! =))

I'll try to re-design the logo again if not I'll get a DP member to do it.

Btw, I also added a IT section, mainly focus on IT specific search.
