    hi,

    i have applied for many jobs and only received few contact back for an interview(3). i am wondering is it because of my resume. would you please critique it? Thank you.

    I don't think webmasters are the best people to ask about a field like this..
    I do admire your resume, I want to study microbiology too :)

    Very nice... my only comment would be try and avoid the bull and keep it succinct.
    For example:
    "Competent with all aspects of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)" - everyone calls it that because it sounds better.

    "Experience of bacterial screening".

    "Experience user of PCR and PAGE".

    Like what? CD, NMR, IR, chemical techniques, molecular modelling?

    You get the idea.

    If you have to ask, you're probably not worth hiring.

    My brother is crazy into the biochemistry and gets raises every few months.

    Try adding info out of bullet point format.

    That kind of thing is fine for listing work experience and education, But I usually try to include a couple paragraphs of content with a statement of intent, why I want to work where I'm applying, why I'd be good for the job I'm trying to get and how my previous work and education experience pertains to the job I'm applying for.
