I have made changes in the look of www.freelandlordsoftware.com. The best improvement is the addition of a deadbeat tenant directory. I'm appreciate all suggestions. Thank you...
I don't mean to "boo hoo" but i can't help but wonder why I am not getting responses for my request for a site review? I could really use the help and this does seem like the place to get it. I like to read this forum a lot and I get a lot of fun reading all these posts. Is it the 'peon' ranking or what?
I'm trying to come up with a color scheme everyone likes but can't seem to get it right. Originally I used Monopoly colors b/c that was the theme. What do you suggest?
I definitely do not like the color scheme. The top banner does not seem to fit with the rest of the site. Good content though!
got ya... I like the light blue background, it's ez on my eyes but I'm going to experiment with something else. The header can go. i'm not in love with it but my Photoshop skills suck and i'm getting frustrated trying to come up with a good one.
Hey guys, I changed the look to a Navy, Orange and White look. I need to get rid of the monopoly board once you login and limit the colors of the property cards, again in the login area, to match the site... Overall, I hope you agree, it doesn't look like a clown threw up anymore... yea... Think I should repost an invite to the forum for all to review it?
looks good but i would take out...the adsense banner on the right...ppl don't like to see that many ads on a web page to be honest... good luck....
Thanks for your honest opinion. I think i'll take it off the first page and replace it with a top ten reasons to join table or a membership benenfits thing. I have almost ten members and I have only opened the site two weeks ago. I'm really thrilled with the traffic so far. Now time to get my site highter in the search engine results.
Thanks, I appreciate it. i'm still adding more content and tools almost every day. So keep on visiting...
Just my opinion, but if your looking for membership; why all the Google ads to lead potential subscribers away from your site? Get the sign-up first then knock 'em down with ads. Mike
I like the color layout. It is easy to flow down page and the info structure makes sense. Also great job of blending the adsense! Looks cool in my opinion
hi, think you can do a better job if u search a litle about " color theory" the human mind is a big, big secret... good luck!
Mike, I will be getting rid of the tall ad on the right as soon as I develop some content for that section. Good suggestion, I appreciate it...
Hi Tris, thanks for the compliment. I took a look at your site aswell. Very good layout and color scheme. I was thinking of doing a game site for small kids, 3rd grade range, for my daughter and her friends. Where do you get the "public domian" games to add to your site? Did you purchase a package or find them on the net?
I have struggled with the colors. Seems this is one area I need help with all around. My wife is embarrassed sometimes when she sees the getups I put our baby in before dropping her at day care On a more exciting note, I received an email from Apartment Guide (the glossy color renters mag you see in all the stores) and he had great things to say about the site. Some good suggestions too. He wants me to beta test an API they are developing that will allow users from freeLandlordSoftware.com to auto post their vacancies to Rentals.com and RentClicks.com for free. This is a BIG company giving my start up website attention!!! He says the existing software for big rental management is too expensive and outdated. "I think there is a significant opportunity to gain traction with software like this". I'm stoked...
I added a search engine control from Google that I am really happy with. I also added a monthly prize give away that the user is given the opportunity to take part in on the way to the search engine. I'm thinking this is with in adsense guidelines from how I understand the rules. After researching the adsense rules and carefully building my search page, I'm not sure how Blingo gets away with offering prizes directly on the web search/results page? Like Blingo, your going to search anyway, might as well do it somewhere you can win something especially if the search results are the same.
