    The font looks too large and try to rearrange the background color shade, I think it has been split into two part, check it out..

    Well, that header is way to big, maybe you should use 50% of it or something like that. I'm guessing you're having pretty high resolution on your monitor. Try changing it to 1024x768 and you'll see the problem.
