I think the white boxes should be changed to a light blue.. the white stands out too much. Is that free hosting? :p

I'd sort/group the navigation bar somewhat.

I'd left-hand justify your text, for one thing. Having everything centered makes it harder to read. Reserve centered text for headlines and 'stand-alone' phrases that you want to bring special attention to, e.g. that "Here is a preview of the DVD" toward the bottom.

Is "Request your FREE DVD" (you should capitalize 'your', btw) on two lines because you've got a line break there, or is it just my screen? Seems like you've got plenty of room to have that on one line, centered, if you can. And leave a line space between your headline and the beginning of your text, to make your headline pop a little more.

Ordinarily I'm real big on prefering a white background for readability's sake, but I'd have to agree with 8everything about your white background being a little over-powering in this case. It sounds like there's nothing you can do about that, but maybe if you made your text easier to read by justifying it then it wouldn't be so noticeable.

Most of what you learned in school is useless for these purposes anyway, because writing/designing for the web is quite unique. So even if you'd been Ernest Hemingway while in school, you'd still have to learn most of this anyway just like the rest of us! :)
