the domain is www.jointventuredomain.com Code (markup): it is still in development, but please check it out and let me know if you like the idea/feel of the site so far. Thanks guys!
I have a few comments... On the look, I think the login on the top of the screen looks too disconnected from the rest of the website. I would build it into the header itself and maybe change the background color. There is no content in the about us section, and no link to the help or contact us. The search for domains returns a sql error and the code it is trying to run. I can understand there aren't any domains in there but you should never expose your code to the web. I had to read your front page several times to figure out what the service actually was. Remember you need to convince both domain owners and Developers they need this service. However when I develop a site I already have an idea of the domain name I need, so instead of submitting my work to the domain owner I would just buy the domain from him. I hope this helps.
Thank you so much for the feedback, I will take note of the suggestions and try and get the point across easier what this actually is... do you think this is something you would ever try in your honest opinion?
I would have tried it if I was an absolute newbie who did not know how to buy a domain myself. There are plenty of such newbies... now how do you find them? I thought the site purpose was very clear.
Looks like a good start, lots of white space in places but as you said it aint finished yet and these things soon fill up with features as time goes on. Could do with enlarging your yellow boxes a little so the white text on them stops running into the top. best wishes with it ; - )
yeh I suppose finding newbies would be the key... or structure it as more of a networking site. plenty of people i am sure would love to network with other webmasters, domain owners, etc.
