With this domain name you have a gold mine. You should really promote it, invest some cash into this, and after a time you will have millions of visitors ;)

    Good luck

Yes, I will be investing in the site if there is traction. I will measure traction by repeat visitors, Feedburner counts, bounce rate, avg. time on site, etc. If you or anyone else has any ideas, I would appreciate them.

You got yourself a goldmine of a domain name there! How did you manage that? I would have automatically assume something that good would have been gone long ago.

I think you're wasting a potentially amazing domain name on a waste-of-space site. Do something decent with it.

    Hi,

I registered the domain in 1996 so I've had it for quite some time. Thanks for your comment and question!

Just the same thing I remember telling you a year or so ago. To do something very similar to leenks.com but without the smut.

Thanks for your comments. So far I am very pleased with the reaction to the site. Visitors are spending time on it, reading the commentary and the articles and even voting. I hope to upgrade the quality as time goes by and possibly in time, you too may find in useful. Thanks again for your comments.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I am always open to new ideas. For now, this idea seems to be working the best of all that I have tried out. Building a valuable website takes time and energy and I appreciate your visit and your comments. Feedback is always helpful and constructive. I hope you may find the site interesting enough to return to it now and then. Thanks for your help.

    Hi again,

Yes, I like the look and feel of the site. I am still looking for the right subject matter. Hopefully, this new subject may attract repeat visitors. Initial results are encouraging but it is still to early to say. Thanks again for visiting and sharing with me your excellent suggestion.

Wow. I mean, expletive-wow. What a top name.

tbh, I think you're on the wrong road, just at the moment. Sorry to be a negative voice here.

The reason I say that is because the domain has the potential to go global but with general appeal. At the moment it's very webmastery-orientated (although obviously aimed at the higher paying financial market) and will quickly fill with crap from spammy webmasters, then your readership isn't readers, it's spammers.

imo, you should break it into subdomains, or at the very least, subfolders, so you have money.links.com, stupid.links.com, funny.links.com etc. That way you get the best of all worlds and the spam should be a bit easier to manage.

You might also want to consider just how scalable Hotaru CMS will be over time. Reddit have open sourced their code as well so that could be worth a look: http://code.reddit.com/

Finally, I don't know what your programming skills are like but regardless, you need a small team behind that site if you are ever going to get it running as it should. And money, you need money to push it forward. And a better template.

It's not often I get excited about something on the web but seriously, Richrf, this could be huuuuuge.

For me this "site" is useless.

Looks not good, no eye catchers.

I would do something really cool with this domain name... at least congrats for that domain name.
Don't waste it for a "social site"...

I have to disagree with you there, my friend. I'd say it has the potential to rank alongside Digg and Reddit if developed properly (and Digg sold for $225m).

Thanks much for your encouragement. I think you have a great idea and I will definitely think more about the general functioning of the site. There may be issues with scalability especially with performance. I think the database structure needs to be fine tuned and I will have put a great deal of work into this as the site begins to catch on. Do you have a good source for reliable PHP/MySQL developers? Thanks again for all of your comments.

    Rich

    Hi,

Any colors that you think are more appropriate? Thanks for the comment!

    Rich

    Hi,

I have not heard of Discount Code Hunter. Can you give me a link or provide me with more info. Sounds like a great idea!

You need a lot more then a domain name and a server to get as big as Digg'n'Co... a lot more.

Servers, coders, marketing specialists, ... and a lot of money.

I would split this domain into several parts tbh.

    :)

And I would love to play with jQuery :D
