the site looks awesome. It has a funny design and it's lovely to navigate.

when it comes to SEO, you should try to rewrite URLs. for example, from site.com/page15/page15.html in site.com/exploring-madrid.html

I like it. One suggestion would to be to offer the site in spanish as well for Madrid locals.

Looks good, but the only thing I don't like too much is some of the images does not match with each other. ("where to eat", "transport", and "shopping" images)

It just don't look like they belong together. Maybe the "where to eat" image is fine, but the transport and shopping image looks really off.

    Hi

I teach web design standards and consult design projects so you should know my orientation from the start. I'm into the objective qualities and values every web site should have and you're on the right track.

    1. You're probably not doing yourself any favors by having so many external .css files. That's usually a blueprint for design management nightmare. It's hard to know what style rule is written and besides, the rules in the external files cascade and that could result in unexpected design consequences. Simplify.

    2. Please don't use self-referencing links. When I'm on the home page I don't want to click home and have the page reload. Self-referencing links interrupt the user experience, make a needless call to the server and messes up web metrics.

    3. Speaking of links, I get a little disoriented when I click on a link that says one thing and the h1 tag says another. Use the text in your navigation to help educate your users about your site. They won't give you but a second or two so use their time wisely.

Yeah, I agree with the above comments...the colors are playful and it matches the context of the domain and concept. I think the header is WAAAAAAYYYYYY too big and you should re-format it to be much higher up on the page. The real meat and potatoes of the site doesn't start until the very bottom of the browser at 1024x768. And I also agree with the above comments that the styling of the images is very awkward...you have this cartoon/stick figure brand, and then you mix in some low res picture of forks and several different styles of clip art illustration. If you're trying to build a serious brand, I would circle back around and make sure your imagery is consistent with your brand voice. My 2 cents...
