Nice domain! I think the blog theme is a little too basic. Try searching around for a new one at WordPress Themes Free or scrap the blog altogether and build a custom site.

I agree with Ponynugget... looks like too general for a new website - it will be quite a challege to get search traffic. Besides, I would start your title with "Funny videos, pictures and jokes" part (instead of "just laughs"). Also, yes, your website looks too wordpress-template-like (Change header at least). As for the quick traffic, social bookmarking must work great in your niche (as well as MySpace and other entertainment based social networks). Relevant blog commenting can also help. These are just steps to take at the very beginning - then it will be easier when you see people coming and participating. Good luck!
