I just put online my new website, Flacy where I offer layouts and graphics that I make for free. I don't have a lot of content yet but does the website look ok? I went for small letters because I like them but I'd like to know if other people find that disturbing.. is the navigation easy to use as well? www.flacy.com
The design is pretty clean and looks consistent, I like it overall. I think the spacing between letters (within a word) is a little excessive, and makes it slightly trickier to read. The large white space to the right of your logo looks too empty, I think either you need a full site header instead of a small logo to fill the space, or you need to put something else there, e.g. navigation links. I personally don't like the broken line between your logo space and the rest of the page, I think a solid line or a more defined border would look cleaner.
Thank for the review. About the header, I'll put ads up there once I have more content.. hopefully it won't look that empty after. I'll try experimenting with a solid line and without the letter spacing. Any other opinions?
I checked out the site on my system. My screen is set at 1280 X 800. At this setting you have your site adjusting to this and leaves a lot of white space in the middle. I tested a few links and the WordPress link came up 404 I tested this on PClinuxOS FireFox and Opera Other then that.... I love it... simple and clean Lhlalyam
Thanks for the review I just started adding things yesterday so some sections don't have any content. The problem with filling up the whitespace is 800x600.. whenever I have a really good idea it works on higher screen resolutions but it looks messed up on 800x600.. any tips on how I can make the site look good using every resolution?
Hey, looks promising except that I agree with richwest, there lots of space by the logo and other parts!
I just came across a little problem.. I tried fixing the white space problem by using a java script that loads a different stylesheet depending on the resolution.. only problem is that it doesn't load in Firefox.. is there any way I can fix this?
I quite like it well done, but agree there is alot of whitespace, try adding something right of the banner and more content and it will look great.
